this was sort of an unexpected movie, with reference to the plot. the catchline on the dvd box was very misleading, 'terror has a new name', and 'i was 22 the first time i died', you'd think that it was some thriller where adrien brody and kiera knightley runs away from some serial killer or murderous alien or something. but its not. its really not. instead, it's a story about a guy who goes into the future and learns that he's going to die 4 days later in the present, and while he's there he falls in love with a woman he met as a young girl in the present. when he realises that he can't prevent his own death, he sets out to help change the lives of the people around him for the better.

i'd thought that this movie would be scary or thrilling, but really this movie is more heart breaking and heart warming than it was intended i guess.

but i like the movie the way it is, especially the way the movie ends. some might find the ending a little open to make a good ending, but the way the movie fades out, and kiera knightley asks, 'how much time do we have?'. oh excellent ending. it also makes you think about how limited time is, both in terms of the movie, and also about your own life-time. in the movie, adrien brody hadn't had much time to spend with kiera knightley throughout the show, and he made the most out of whatever time he had in the future.
